Staffordshire Community Energy is delighted to congratulate Friends of Hednesford Park and everyone involved in caring for the park after it retained its prestigious Green Flag Award for 2026/27.
SCE has supported Friends of Hednesford Park through its Community Fund, helping volunteers deliver environmental activities and educational projects for local residents and schools. These have included wildlife activities, projects using natural and recycled materials, and the creation of a natural dye garden.
Hednesford Park was one of six parks and green spaces across Cannock Chase recognised through the national Green Flag Award scheme, which celebrates welcoming, accessible and well-managed public spaces.
Cannock Chase Council praised the dedication of its parks teams, volunteers and community groups, whose work throughout the year helps keep these important spaces maintained and enjoyed by local people.
Congratulations to Friends of Hednesford Park and everyone who has contributed to this fantastic achievement.
