We’re pleased to share the nine communities we’ll be working alongside as part of our Staffordshire Energetic Communities project.
These places have been selected to give a balanced, Staffordshire-wide mix of:
- Highest need and fuel poverty hotspots where support can make the biggest difference
- Urban and rural communities, so we learn what works in different contexts
- Areas experiencing multiple deprivation and communities that have historically had less funding and engagement
- Places with strong local champions already active, so we can build momentum and scale what’s working
- Communities with ambition but limited capacity, where a bit of structured support can unlock wider participation
Our nine communities are: Chadsmoor (Cannock Chase), Stapenhill (East Staffs), Boney Hay & Central (Lichfield), Chesterton (Newcastle-under-Lyme), Kinver (South Staffordshire), Highfields & Western Downs (Stafford), Leek North (Staffordshire Moorlands), Great Chell & Packmoor (Stoke-on-Trent) and Glascote (Tamworth).
Over the coming months, we’ll be listening first, then helping each area explore local energy opportunities, improve energy efficiency and shape practical, community-led plans that reflect local needs.
If you’re based in one of these areas and want to get involved, please drop us a message : projects@staffscommunityenergy.org.uk
