Tanglewood Days CIC

Supporting outdoor education & activity at Cannock Chase

Tanglewood Days delivers it’s programmes in association with Staffordshire County Council at Marquis Drive Visitor Centre on Cannock Chase an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Cannock Chase is an idyllic place to visit with its quiet miles of rolling hills, purple heather and unspoilt miles of forest tracks.

Tanglewood Days has access to a dedicated outdoor learning area adjacent to the classrooms. This area is for the exclusive use of visitors on an education programme and has a rustic log seating area with a fire pit. Many of the activities take place in this area as well as utilising the many trails and habitats in the woods.

Activities supported:

Following a successful grant application to Staffordshire Community Energy, Tanglewood Days was able to purchase two new recycling bins and run an education programme with visitors and local schools to promote responsible behaviour in and around the country park. Plus further support for installing a compostable toilet at John ‘O Leary Education Centre, Cannock Chase, to bring better, environmentally safe, toilet facilities for visitors.
